Change your view. Try a new movie, play, or program or different scenery. And, of course, changing your point of view would be a big stretch!

My example: I’m not a big movie go-er, but a friend invited me to see Lady Bird. I’m not very good at watching violence or suspense and at the time, I was fairly fragile and wasn’t up for anything very sad, either. That kinda limits potential movies! I checked out the preview and decided I would be comfortable with it. I went and enjoyed it a lot.

How did/will you stretch?

  1. I’m going to see a performance of Guys and Dolls on Saturday afternoon. I know nothing about the musical so that’s a bit of a stretch for me. I tend to research before I go, but will go in fresh on this one.

  2. Beth,

We don’t go to a movie theatre but we do stream a lot of content. That’s one of our favorite weekend past times. 🙂 Thanks for visiting this morning. Have a good day and happy A2Zing!

  3. You do a great job of challenging yourself and stretching. I’m applauding. I’m enjoying your examples. Thanks! Only four more days and you will have survived. Congratulations!

    • And then I will sit home and do nothing to stretch!! Well, knowing me, for about 10 minutes!!!

  4. Changing your view always opens up the possibility for expansion, and yay for that! Glad you enjoyed the movie. I haven’t seen a movie in a theater in quite some time, so that could be my stretch.

    • I think I’m going to see another movie in a theatre next week! It’s a documentary about my home town.

  5. Great point. Doing this month long blogging challenge is a stretch, even though I’ve done it before. I try to look at things from different view points, venture into uncomfortable conversations. Don’t always like it, but there’s learning and growing.

  6. Adding Lady Bird to my list. I’m a movie buff and I love to go to the theater to watch movies. Shall ponder more about the point of view ‘stretch.’
