You are the sky. Everything else – it’s just the weather.
~ Pema Chödrön

Quiet your mind and worries. Take up meditation, bike riding or whatever helps you relegate your thoughts to a distant place, for at least some space of time. You will feel a refreshment that reconnects you to the world.

What is the best way for you to still your thoughts?

To open up to all that is real around us, to watch what is happening in the smallest detail right now, in wonder without questioning. To spy on a robin quietly and dutifully building her nest, one piece of straw at a time, primping and shaping. To trust my little kayak to help me lose my footing, to bring me to the middle of the river to be gently tossed around in the openness and the Quiet of the moving waters. To reconnect with the world, as you said, and so to reconnect with my Self. — Thank you, Beth, for your many inspirations.

  2. You are right on target! And kayaking time will be here sooon.

Yes, soon we’ll be back on the water! In the meantime, I’m working hard on that other “P” word, Patience!

  3. Beautiful, Beth thank you. Quiet is so necessary for me, like water and air. Meditation is the way I do it as a connection to that quiet and silent space from where all else flows.

  4. Thanks for visiting my site today xxx

  5. In the quiet, you can hear your soul speak. but that kind of “me time” is sometimes hard to come by…

    • But, Reshma, don’t you think it’s critical to get there? to hear what your soul has to say, in order to live life authentically? I know daily life sometimes makes it overwhelming to find the time… I am struggling with that right now, with all this A to Z stuff!
