Some of us think holding on makes us strong, but sometimes it is letting go.
~ Herman Hesse

Let go of your past and theirs. The past is over and done, nothing we do changes what has happened. We definitely can learn from our mistakes and use the past as a guide for the future. But dwelling in the past prevents us from living fully.

Does it feel different to use the past as a take-home lesson than to use it to punish?

  1. Letting go is hard sometimes but also necessary if we want to move on to our future and grow as a person.
    Nice post.

  2. It feels better as a take-home lesson rather than a punishment, that’s for sure.

    • Easy for me to remember when I’m on the receiving end. Harder when I’m dishing it out… 😦

  3. Hmmm, I’ll be honest, this is almost always easier said than done…
