HOPE

April 9, 2014

Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul – and sings the tunes without the words – and never stops at all.
~ Emily Dickinson

Hope for the future. Optimism can keep us on track, even when we aren’t certain where we are or where we’re going. Positive thoughts open us to solutions we hadn’t considered, instead of quickly giving up.

In times of anger, do you threaten to end your relationship? Is that helpful?

  1. Wow Beth,

We wrote on the same topic and I mean we including Tina a famous co-host of the challenge: http://myeverydaypersonal.blogspot.be/2014/04/h-as-in.html

  2. The answers to your questions are No and No. Anger passes. Moods change. Clear thinking can break through the foggy clutter and confusion resulting from miscommunication. Acting in haste is much like toddler behavior. So yes, HOPE!

    Nice post

  4. Hie Beth. You have beautiful thoughts here! Following you right away. We share same ideology it seems 🙂
I agree with every word of yours here! No in times of anger, for me, keeping quite or fighting a bit helps. But no threatening else somewhere I feel for your partner you or your relationship takes a back seat! (this is my perspective). These thoughts should come in mind or on tongue when there is no other way out!!!

  5. Anger leaves, love stays.

  6. Hope always guides us to happiness, through the darkest of times.

No, I don’t think that sort of threat is helpful.

    • Thanks for your view…I wonder if for some people, emotions are too strong to be thoughtful during a crisis.

  9. Lovely post thanks Beth – am catching up on things on my return to South Africa. I love the comments as well as your responses to them, thank you.
