Chameleon

April 7, 2013

[In the spirit of providing daily commentary, I’m adding digraphs, those two letters that unite to consistently form a single sound, to my A to Z posts.]

Messages:

»         Use color as camouflage
»         Patience
»        Use the Sun as a source of power

Change is inevitable and, when it comes along, being flexible is an asset.  The chameleon sizes up its environment and change its color to match. Blending in allows an opportunity for observation and learning. If we are always out in the forefront, we may miss subtle messages from the others in our spheres. Those subconscious communications increase our ability to listen deeply and speak truthfully.

With Spring finally here, we now have the chance to sit outside and let the warmth of the sun heal us. Perhaps it’s only our hands and face, or a quickly rolled up sleeve or pant leg, but we welcome this change from our bundled winter requirements. The presence of sunshine makes life possible on our earth. Transforming light to chlorophyll to food – the cycle of nutrients is stunningly simple and yet hinges on delicate balances.

Solar energy provides other options, also. Cold-blooded animals use it to function, while cats splay themselves in small pools and enjoy the warmth. We can use it to replace damaging sources of power, if we continue our research on the matter.

What is your favorite way to enjoy the sunshine?
